Ode to 2011

So basically 2011 wasn’t that great for me personally. I made a difficult decision and then had to make it work. Even though it sucked I know I made the right decision. I just want to thank those of you who were there for me, whether you know it or not I am probably talking about you, and you probably had a large part in keeping me sane. So truly, thank you.

So here are my resolutions for 2012: Time management- I am always late so I am going to work on that, Attempt to always say what I think, feel, want etc.- hiding my feelings has caused me trouble in the last year and causes me trouble now so I need to be more straight forward. And of course the typical lose weight, work out blah, blah, blah that is always on the list…

So good bye and good riddance 2011 and here’s to a better 2012 where we all get what we want!

Finishing this by Friday so I can go see the movie!

I can only be mad at myself…

I hate that I allow myself to be dumb enough to make things up in my mind that aren’t really there. I love to make a situation into something that it’s not and then when it doesn’t go that way I get upset about it. I guess sometimes when I want something to happen bad enough I am willing to think things that aren’t necessarily true and take things that happen or are said and use them as examples for why what I am thinking must be true. Then, I allow myself to be upset with other people in the situation when in the end, the only person I can be mad at is myself for allowing these thoughts to invade my brain and make me unnecessarily unhappy when they don’t work out…

Student loan debt has ballooned since the 1990s.
Note: This graphic is the corrected version of an earlier tumblr post, which had misleading proportions.

With a graphic like this, it’s hard to imagine how much worse the one with misleading proportions could have been.
Sigh.

What are you thinking?

Sometimes I wish I was a mind reader then I could get the answers to my questions without even asking. This would make many situations so much simpler!

This is excellent advice to remember and I need to look at this every once in a while…

Don’t Be Fooled…

Just when you think you’ve escaped it, reality has a way of making its presence known…
